Privacy Policy
TidalPrep is a small study tool run by an individual respiratory therapist. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect and why.
What we collect
- Study progress: your answers, scores, and review schedule are stored only in your own browser (localStorage). They are not sent to us. Clearing your browser data, or using "Reset progress", deletes them.
- Email address (only if you buy or restore access): when you pay, Stripe sends us the email you used at checkout and whether you bought Pro (monthly) or the Pass. We store your plan status under a one-way hash of that email so you can unlock on any device. When you request a sign-in code, we use your email to send the code and store only a hashed copy of the code for 15 minutes.
- Abuse protection: we keep short-lived request counters keyed by a hashed email and a hashed IP address to rate-limit sign-in codes.
- Hosting logs: our host (Netlify) keeps standard server logs, such as IP address and pages requested, for operation and security.
We do not collect patient information, and you should never enter any. We do not use advertising trackers or sell or rent personal data.
Who processes data for us
- Stripe processes payments. We never see or store your card details. See Stripe's privacy policy.
- Resend delivers sign-in code emails.
- Netlify hosts the site and stores plan status.
Your choices
You can use the 50 free questions without giving us any personal information. To have your plan record deleted, or to ask what we hold about you, email support@tidalprep.app from the address you used at checkout. Stripe keeps its own payment records as required by law.
Children
TidalPrep is meant for respiratory therapy students and graduates and is not directed to children under 13.

If this policy changes, we will update the date above.
